The first steps of our Arctic Circle Trail winter expedition have been set in motion.
After intense training and solid preparation in the French Jura mountains with our training expert Olivier Bourcet, our participants and guide Brecht De Meulenaer are now in the midst of their global travels to reach their first stop - Copenhagen - tonight.
Their plans are to meet for a short stay at a hotel near the Copenhagen Airport where they will collect and redistribute gear, enjoy dinner together, and (hopefully!) get a solid night's sleep.
Tomorrow morning they will catch an early flight to Greenland, with a first stop in Nuuk and then onto their final destination in Kangerlussuaq.
We'll continue to follow our team's progress here on our blog (English) and also via Expeditions Unlimited Livexplorer tracking system (French).
